Welcome everyone to our new site! Thanks for visiting!
Buncombe County is about to make a decision that will affect the way we vote for years to come. The decision is about which type of voting machine technology should be purchased by the county during the next several months.
Buncombe Coalition for Verifiable Voting (BCVV) is a group of individuals who are dedicated to the principle that "every vote should count." There is only one way to be sure of this: every vote should start with a paper ballot.
Unfortunately, the lobbying efforts of a few big technology companies want to thwart this principle of safe elections by selling much more profitable electronic voting machines to our county. At a cost that may be five times more expensive, they are pushing our county officials to buy electronic touch screen technology that has proven time and again to be unreliable.
We encourage you to look over our website to learn more about the issues involved in this very important issue. Sign up to receive our email updates. And most of all, please get involved in our advocacy efforts. We can make a difference. Voters must let our county leadership know that we want honest and verifiable elections!
