ATTENTION ALL DEMOCRATS:

1. The Henry County Democratic Party is searching for a candidate to qualify for the District 2 Henry County Board of Commissioner seat .

2. The Henry County Georgia Elections and Registration will hold a Special Election in the November General Election to fill the District 2 Commissioner seat.

3. Qualifying for the November General Election is from June 28, 2010 through July 2, 2010, at noon.

Commission seat qualifying fee: $1318.18

Israel's tightened blockade of a million and a half Palestinians in the Gaza Strip is now entering its third week. On Monday, the Israeli navy seized fifteen Palestinian fishermen and three international activists off the coast of Gaza. The fishermen were released, but the activists remain in an Israeli jail. We speak to Darlene Wallach from inside the Masiyahu Prison near Tel Aviv.

Gingrich falsely touted GOP governors of Utah and Indiana for "lowest unemployment rates in their respective regions"

On CBS' Face the Nation, Fox News contributor Newt Gingrich falsely claimed that Indiana and Utah -- both governed by Republicans -- have the "lowest unemployment rates in their respective regions." However, according to the most recent Bureau of Labor Statistics records, neither Utah nor Indiana has the lowest unemployment rate in its region, and several states with lower unemployment rates are governed by Democrats.
